Floppy disk found but has no boot sector on it

Explanation:
The system found a floppy disk to try to boot, but couldn't load the operating system from it because it could not find a boot sector on it.
Diagnosis:
The most common cause of this problem is trying to boot a floppy disk before formatting it. Note that this is not the same as booting a non-bootable floppy disk; any formatted disk has a boot sector, even one that is not bootable. The non-bootable one just doesn't have the operating system files on it. See here for more on boot disks.
Recommendation:

Boot the system from a proper boot disk, or remove the floppy disk from the drive and boot from the hard disk.
If the problem persists despite the fact that the boot disk is known to be working, treat as a floppy disk problem.
