There is a loud ringing or repeated beeping sound from the PC speaker when keyboard is connected to the system

Explanation:
You connected your keyboard to the PC and it made a loud repeating beep or a strange ringing sound.
Diagnosis:
This is usually caused by the PC getting confused when the keyboard is attached to it. I often find that systems don't react well to having a keyboard attached to them when they are already on.
Recommendation:

Turn the PC off, wait 15 seconds, and turn it back on. The keyboard should be fine.
If the problem persists, troubleshoot the keyboard or the keyboard controller.
