The following are the addresses of some of the technical and trade groups that are mentioned on this site:

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE): The world's largest professional society, IEEE is responsible for many technical efforts in the world of computers.
Motion Pictures Expert Group: The group that defined the MPEG video and audio compression formats.
Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA): This is the video trade association responsible for defining so many video-related standards including the VESA local bus.
