Be Cheap
Most builders won’t need and
won’t want to purchase the most expensive mainboards and CPUs currently
available. If I were to give the first-time builder just one piece of
advice, it would be to avoid the most expensive top-of-the-line components,
such as the fastest CPU, the biggest hard drive, the most expensive
video card, and the RAM type that is currently newest and still being
innovated.
You pay dearly for the most current
components. Real world performance is usually just as good if you purchase
slightly less than the fastest or newest components. And, you’ll
save a bundle of money.
